Veterans and Valor

1st LT Richter was a F105 Thunderchief pilot. At the age of 23 he was the youngest pilot to shoot down an enemy MIG in Vietnam. He flew 198 combat missions and was shotdown and killed on July 28, 1967. He was 25 years old.

MAJ Richard Bong was a P38 Lightning pilot flying in the Pacific theater of operations.  By the time he was 24 years old MAJ Bong shotdown 40 Japanese enemy aircraft and was awarded the Medal of Honor.  He died at the age of 24 as a test pilot flying the P80A Shooting Star.
